Because CashU is a prepaid service where every transaction is password protected and funds kept in escrow before released to any merchant. And if you never store more funds on your CashU account than you intend to use for your immediate online shopping there is no risk of your account being misused by anyone, even if they would gain access to your account details.

No, your CashU account is not a bank account. A CashU account only allows you to purchase goods and services online and to transfer funds to friends, family and others.
>>In what currencies can I purchase with CashU?
You can purchase from a merchant in any currency but the transaction will show in US Dollars on your CashU account.
>>Do I earn interest on funds held in my CashU account?
No. You do not earn interest on funds held in your CashU account.
>>Can a lost Refill Coupon be cancelled and refunded?
No, a lost refill coupon cannot be cancelled or refunded.
>>Does my CashU Account expire?
No, your CashU Account does not expire, However, there is an annual maintenance fee of USD 1 charged to your CashU account. If the balance on your account is less than USD 1 on the date of charging the maintenance fee your account will be deactivated.
>>When can I use the money I have added to my CashU account?
If you use CashU Refill Coupons Onecard or Ukash vouchers the funds will be available instantly.
For Credit card and Bank deposits allow up to 24 hours
>>Why do I have to have a secret question?
To protect your personal information, password, bank account details, etc from being illegally modified by anyone, a secret question has to be answered correctly by everyone trying to access/change your account details.
So even if someone has access to your login details he/she will not be able to change e.g. your bank account details etc unless he/she also know your secret question and the correct answer.
You will be requested to select a secret question and the answer when you open a new CashU account. It is as you understand important that you remember it!
>>Why is my account deactivated?
Your account is deactivated if:
1-Your account balance is less than USD 1 on the date of the annual renewal.
2-You have answered the secret question incorrectly four times.
In this case you will then have to provide us with a copy of your personal ID before the account can be reactivated.
